Bladen County also needs your help

Because these shelters have been under such scrutiny, we are finding that other local shelters are overwhelmed with dogs. Every single kennel is full, often with multiple dogs per kennel. It is unfortunate that all of these dogs will not make it out alive. The staff at Bladen County have shown to be respectful and caring for the animals that are temporarily in their care. They make sure the animals have adequate medical care as well as fresh, clean food and water. They also take their dogs on frequent walks.

From visiting the shelter you can honestly see that these people care. Unfortunately not everyone will make it out. And yet again, another NC shelter is forced to euthanize in inhuman ways. This particular shelter uses the gas chamber. Dogs are often shoved by the dozens into tiny rooms with the door locks while they suffer through their final breaths. Gas is then pumped into these rooms and staff have to wait outside listening to the sickening cries of the animals inside struggling to escape this horrible fate.

These dogs need out and we need your help. Consider adopting or fostering one of these dogs. In the very least, contribute to our cause so that we can get these precious beings out of there.
