Harry
This gorgeous two and a half year old Golden Retriever lives in Menton - and in England. His other half is Hettie, a Border Terrier and you'll meet her in a couple of days.I've never met a more polite and kind Golden. He is so gentle and for a young dog, incredibly calm. When he is excited he picks up a dog bed in his mouth and brings it to you! In my place, this meant an awful lot of dog beds got moved around!

Sometimes I take a photograph of a dog and the photo isn't good enough, so I don't use it and occasionally - mea culpa - I forget. So last Saturday, when I took the photo of the three guys below - the one on the right asked why I hadn't put the photo of his Yorkie pup on the blog and then I remembered. It is one of the last pics I took before I got my new camera and somehow, with all the learning processes, I forgot.So here - rather late - is little Loona, who was only four months old at the time. Adorable eh? How could I have forgotten!

New Things
The other day, I went to a park where there were lots of big dogs and crazy things with wheels on them. I heard someone say they were draft carts. Hmmmm, what's a draft cart ? Well, it didn't take long to find out.
First, I got to put on this really cool harness, and drag a big block of wood around some grass. It's cool to drag stuff. I liked it, well, until we went to the parking lot. It was kinda scary at first, that big wood block was making weird noises behind me. Then I got a cookie and forgot all about the wood block. Cookies make everything better.
Next, they said I could try a real cart, so I jumped at the chance.
It was fun, scary, and really cool all at the same time. I can't wait to do it again.

“Puppy mills” breed dogs in large quantities for mass marketing with NO regard for the puppies’ genetics, health or well-being. Most pet stores today receive their pups from “puppy farms or puppy mills.” Here, the puppies live in cramped, often dirty cages with little human contact; poor nutrition; no socialization; no Vet care; and the breeding females are bred as often as possible to increase their profits.
When your puppy comes from a “puppy mill,” you risk paying a high price for a poor quality puppy, with no guarantee of good health long term.
Also, it is inhumane to keep a female dog in a cage for only the purpose of producing puppies for human profit. This profit is easily made by “puppy mills” due to little or no investment for the care of the pups.
For the past several years, “puppy mill breeders” are selling their poor quality, unhealthy puppies directly to you on line, using false, tricky and deceptive advertising. The internet is currently unregulated concerning breeders and puppies, so anything can be advertised, saying anything to you the consumer. A recent survey was done by the ASPCA which stated that almost half of Americans purchase their new puppy at pet stores and almost half of them online! Please do your research and be very careful.

There is a pet out there that can fit every one's needs. Whether you live in an apartment that doesn't allow pets or you are allergic, it is all about finding the right pet for you. Or maybe you have always wanted a pet but didn’t think you could. Well, think again. There are so many different types of pets out there that it can be possible to find just the right one.
If you are allergic, a hypoallergenic dog breed is the right choice for you. This means the pet is “low allergy”, since no dog can actually be completely allergy free. Each person’s allergies are unique so this
option may not work for everyone. There are some breeds of dogs and cats that shed less fur than others, so picking the right breed can make all the difference.
